还没开始的“觉暖”创意市集…随着春天的脚步终于要到来了

你无法相信,我们也无法相信。由于不可抗拒的原因,今年的觉暖集市将不得不延期。我们会把3月22日的觉结束派对和觉暖集市结合到一起,为乐迷提供一整晚的愉快时光。不过这下你不单单只是兴奋了,你要开始抱怨从Baths的演出开始脚后跟就一直在痛。或者你会想,也许我不该再和第三杯《觉》特制的啤酒“刷夜”了。

伊朗诗人Ali Alizadeh的故事与诗歌 

明天北京Ali Alizadeh的活动,我们邀请到中国作家的代表阿坚和张弛,作为特别嘉宾参加到这次的活动之中。文学爱好者们千万不要错过这一盛事。

阿坚

1955年生于北京,阿坚从事过很多职业。最早的时候他在安徽崂山的一个工厂里工作,随后他决定从一个体力劳动者转变为一个脑力劳动者,于是他找到了一份当中学老师的工作。这帮助他逐渐成为一个职业作家,他在旅行中寻找灵感,他曾经去过六次新疆,还骑车从北京到新疆。而在旅行中,主要的事情就是收集现代的日常用语。

他现已出版的作品包括一本短篇故事集和一本诗集,名叫《Getting on the Road》,除此还有音乐,旅行和烹饪等相关作品。

他参加了许多本地文化,文学社区的活动,还出版了70册地下杂志《The Beer Paper》。

张弛

1979年毕业于北京外国语大学,张弛出生于辽宁沈阳,随后他在北京的一个军区长大。他著名的作品包括有《Beijing Patients》,《We All Go to Hailar》,和一本短片小说集《The House of Nocturnal Animals》除此以外,他还出版过烹饪书籍。张弛的写作风格颇为幽默且用语通俗,他极尽夸大城市生活,并且揭示日常生活背后所隐藏的人生智慧。

张弛同样还是个制片人,他的首部电影《盒饭》在五年前公映。

张弛和阿坚是多年的好友,且都活跃在北京的文学圈,他们两人的写作都较为幽默,有时还有一种超现实主义的写作风格。

We are now combining it with our JUE Closing Party on March 22nd to create a full day and night of frivolous fun. Ali Alizadeh – Three’s a Crowd 

For the Ali Alizadeh event tomorrow in Beijing, we have 2 well-known Chinese poets – Ah Jian 阿坚 and Zhang Chi 张弛- coming in to help host the event and be a part of the discussion! Literary heads won’t want to miss this…

Ah Jian

Born in 1955 in Beijing, Ah Jian has worn many hats. Originally from Laoshan, Shandong province, he began his adult life working in a factory, after which he switched to labor of the mind, working as a middle school teacher. This led the way to his development as a professional writer. Ah Jian finds inspiration in travel, having visited Tibet six times, and biked from Beijing to Xinjiang. One of his main focuses is collecting modern day folk and spoken word works.

 His published works include short stories and a collection of poems entitled Getting on the Road (《正在上道》unofficial translated name) besides other music, travel, cuisine-related works.

 He participates in the activities of the local cultural / literary community 厚青年 (Hou Qingnian / Thick Youth). Ah Jian has also published at least 70 issues of underground magazine The Beer Paper.

Zhang Chi

Zhang Chi graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University in 1979. Born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, he was raised in isolation, within a military compound in Beijing. His most lauded works include the novels Beijing Patients, We All Go to Hailar, and a collection of short stories entitled The House of Nocturnal Animals. He has also published cooking books. His writing is humorous and colloquial, exaggerating urban life and the hidden wisdom within the everyday.

Zhang Chi is also a filmmaker. His debut feature film Packaged Meals《盒饭》was released five years ago.

Zhang Chi and Ah Jian have been friends for many years and they are both active in the Beijing literary circle. Both share a humorous, sometimes surrealist writing style.

Jenevieve Chang讲过去和现在的故事

在澳大利亚驻北京大使馆和Griffin Theatre Cultural Leadership计划的通力合作下,Jenevieve Chang今年3月将来到中国参加2014年澳大利亚文学周。

第七届澳大利亚文学周为澳大利亚的作家与发行商提供了一个绝好的机会,他们能够与中国的受众分享来自澳大利亚文学的声音。澳大利亚文学周还包括了一系列的活动。

Jenevieve Chang将会参与老书虫国际文学节在苏州,呼和浩特和在北京的一系列演讲表演活动,并向大家分享她自己的文学经历。而在上海,她的演讲作为2014《觉》音乐+艺术节的一部分,还增加了在学校里举行的工作作坊活动。

骑行路上-刘于思

在澳洲留学期间,刘于思便开始了将音乐演出,长途骑行与公益活动结合的尝试。并于2011年3月进行了悉尼至墨尔本的’Tour De Green’骑行巡演,以支持当地的环保组织The Australian Conservation Foundation。归国后,他于2012年初秋再次上路,从北京骑行至上海,一路在多个城市举行演出,并通过文字、映像和音乐等内容结合的方式,将想要表达的理念结合到路上的经历当中,再传播开来。

Bill Aitchison是一位游历于表演艺术、文学、视频与音频制作的全能艺术家,其高度个性化的作品以幽默和发人深省并重而著称。他曾在欧洲、亚洲、美洲以及中东的各大美术馆、剧场和节日进行表演,并在伦敦Goldsmiths学院获得表演艺术博士学位。他还发表了多篇评论文章,也为电台制作了多部作品。2009年,阿齐森担任了北京动感剧院的驻场艺术家,随后他在北京798艺术区的第十届公开表演艺术节上展出了他在担任驻场艺术家期间的作品。

Jenevieve Chang performing excerpts from Stories Then and Now

Thanks to the Australian Embassy in Beijing and Griffin Theatre’s Cultural Leadership programme, Jenevieve will be travelling to China during March 2014 as a participating writer featured at Australian Writers Week 2014.

Now in its seventh year, Australian Writers Week is a unique opportunity for Australian writers and publishers to share Australia’s literary voice with Chinese audiences, and will consist of a series of events across China.

Jenevieve will be appearing in a series of storytelling performances based on autobiographical writing in association with the Bookworm Festival in Suzhou, Hohhot and Beijing, as well as the Jue Festival in Shanghai and various educational workshops for schools.

Yusi arrived in Beijing in summer 2011 after years studying abroad in Australia, and quickly became a Greening the Beige volunteer, taking a lead role in organizing GtB’5 events from start to finish. Being a musician himself, Yusi is keen on spreading positive “green” messages through artistic activities, along with his epic bike tours across China. He has also worked closely with The Veggie Table and Hot Cat Club, to help plan and organize the Green Film Fest and ‘Veggie Might’, amongst other things. Music and travel are the most important things in Liu Yusi’s life – keep an eye out for his shows with Beijing’sRandy Abel Stable , as well as his solo projects.

Artistic director, Bill Aitchison works in and between performance, writing, video and audio. At the centre of the work is performance which thrives upon the danger of the moment and sense of being part of something unrepeatable. His performances are both rigorously structured and dynamic in their execution. Each are significantly different, though as a whole have a consistent style being open-ended, formally precise and using dry humour.

《觉》面孔:艺术家Jenevieve Chang // Faces of JUE: Performer & Storyteller Jenevieve Chang

Jenevieve Chang是一位横跨电影、话剧、舞蹈和行为艺术的艺术家。她的作品曾在柏林、维也纳、蒙特利尔等地展出。在澳大利亚和英国,她曾和一众极具影响力的艺术家、团体合作。2008-2010年在中国参与创建了“Fifth Wall”,一个致力于创造国际语言艺术同盟,并在Cabaret Club担任舞蹈队长。Jenevieve曾在伦敦中心表演艺术学院、拉班现代舞蹈艺术学院以及查尔斯斯塔德学院就学。

Writer and performer Jenevieve Chang is about to close a book deal on her novel about her Chinese-Australian childhood, mixed in with her heady time in 2008-2010 working as a dancer at China Town Burlesque Club, Shanghai. She has just completed a season of a show called ‘Stories Then and Now’, directed by William Yang & Annette Shun Wah. In the show, she recounts her ancestral family crossing from China to Australia in the 20th century juxtaposed against her own personal history living and working in Shanghai almost 100 years later, through a series of personal photographs, storytelling and performance.

Every March, our favourite bookstore in Beijing hosts The Bookworm International Literary Festival, transforming into a hub of literary, intellectual and creative activity, as the team celebrates all things books. The BLF is a celebration of literature and ideas, featuring writers, thinkers, artists and performers from China and beyond.
